  • We collect your email address only if you ask us to notify you.
  • We use it to send you a confirmation email, then one email when ABC Computer is ready. Nothing else.
  • This site has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
  • You can unsubscribe any time.

What this page covers

What we collect when you ask to be notified

  • Your email address.
  • The date and time you ticked the box, and which wording you agreed to.
  • A scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address (IP address), not the address itself.
  • Whether you confirmed, and when.
  • If you unsubscribe, the date and time.
  • If an email to you can't be delivered, the date and time it bounced.

We don't ask for your name or anything else.

What we do with it

  • We send a confirmation email to check the address is yours.
  • If you confirm, we send one email when ABC Computer is ready.
  • We use the scrambled internet address to limit how often the form can be used.

We don't sell your email address or share it with other companies.

How long we keep it

  • If you don't confirm within 7 days, we delete your address.
  • If you confirm, we keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
  • If you unsubscribe, we delete your address right away. We keep only a scrambled copy of it (a hash), so we know not to email it again.
  • Each time the form is used, we keep a short record to limit abuse: a scrambled internet address or a scrambled email address, and the time. We delete these records within two days.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie when it shows you a form. Its name is __Host-abc_csrf. It holds a random value that stops other websites from sending the form for you. It holds nothing about you, and it is deleted when you close your browser.

We use no analytics, no advertising cookies, and no scripts, fonts or images from other companies.

The person who runs this site gets a second cookie when signing in to manage the list. Visitors never get it.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server keeps a routine log of requests: internet address, time, the page asked for, and browser type. We use it to keep the site running and to stop abuse.

Backups and mail records

  • We back up this site so we can restore it if something breaks. A nightly copy of the list is kept for up to 14 days. Other backup copies are kept until we replace or delete them.
  • An address we deleted from the list can stay in a backup copy until that copy is gone.
  • Our mail server keeps a routine log of each email it sends: the address, the time and the subject.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe with the link in any email we send. It works right away.
  • Ask us to delete your address: call 888-7-WELDON (Weekdays 12pm–8pm), or write to WeldonPC, 5829 Turney Road, Garfield Heights, OH 44125.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes.
